In Case of Emergency Break Glass
Today in the preparation for intercession rooms at IHOP the Holy Spirit really broke in. After being exhorted to break into another level of crying out to the Lord by the leader of the room, we cried out to God with desperation. About half way into the session, the plexiglass sign on the outside of the door fell down and part of it broke off. A few minutes later the Holy Spirit showed me a picture of one of those glass cases with an axe and an alarm. On the glass case it said, "In case of emergency break glass."
"Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31) We are in a state of emergency, and nearly all are sound asleep in bed. The fire of the righteous judgments of the Lord are about to be released on the earth, and we are completely unequipped to deal with the situation. God is inviting those who would listen to come to him and buy oil in this hour. It takes an active seeking and a firm faith to press through the stagnancy of our own heart and to take hold of the word of God for our generation. Unless the alarm is sounded, the people will perish in their complacency. The Lord is longing for those who hear the word and will weep with him for the slain of his people. His desire is that all men would repent and come to the knowledge of the truth. He is not willing that one should perish, but Jesus is coming and he will destroy those who oppose him. God is raising up many prophets who have stood in the counsel of the Lord and will speak the word of God with authority. When these messengers speak signs and wonders will follow, and many will turn from their evil ways and be saved (Jeremiah 23:22). The kingdom of heaven is at hand! Seek the Lord while he may be found. Heed the voice of wisdom, turn, and He will pour out his Spirit on you and give you his word (Proverbs 1:23). There is a great outpouring of the Spirit very soon, and judgment not far after. The sense I get is probably this April, certainly this year.
